Help! Dark spots on my string of hearts!

Just bought her yesterday! Put her by my window that gets lots and lots of sunlight (thought she liked that) but has black spots? Could they be burns? #Ceropegia

For reference, here’s a healthy string of turtles that looks quite similar to yours. It looks like you’ve got a nice healthy plant! πŸ˜ŠπŸ’š
Dark spots on String of Hearts' leaves are usually caused by fungal diseases, pests or the sun. If Ceropegia Woodii is grown somewhere dark and damp, it is quite likely black or brown spots will appear on the leaves. It is advisable to grow this plant in a bright and airy spot.
I think this might be a string of turtles, rather than a string of hearts, in which case I have seen these plants with darker variegation like I’m seeing in the picture.
I totally agree with @NewGrowth - your String of Turtles looks a not sunstressed, but quite healthy!
@NewGrowth is correct β€” this is not a string of hearts plant. This is string of turtles plant, Peperomia prostrata. The darker spots on the leaves are just part of the leaf design. It’s normal!
Yeah I agree with the three above me your plant looks just fine 😊
thank you so much !!!
