Browning on edges of leaves

Hello! Any thoughts on why my new calathea is getting brown, dry edges? Thanks!

Hi Sierra ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿผ

Calathea are notoriously picky, white fusion seem to be the pickiest ๐Ÿซ

The first thing that comes to mind with them is humidity. They want it all and then some. I'd start with a humidifier, pebble tray, moving it to a bathroom, etc. Whatever is easiest for you and then go from there.

Also, as with all new plants, be sure to check for pests. These are spider mites magnets as well ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿฝ

@PlantMompy thanks so much for the advise!
You're welcome!

I've barely dipped my toe into calathea but the white fusion is a wishlist.... Once I can reno my bathroom and make a shower large enough for myself and a jungle of plants ๐Ÿ˜‚

I have been thinking about getting Calathea Stella, apparently she's just as stunning as White Fusion but way less picky so keep her in mind if you need to give your White Fusion someone to look up to. Lol
Oooh well I hope you are able to reno that bathroom soon! Thanks again
