@Iris_3333 Welcome to the Greg community! While orchids appreciate humidity, too much moisture, especially when directed at the roots, can cause root rot. This happens because the roots are unable to dry out between watering, leading to a soggy and unhealthy environment. When roots rot, they can't effectively absorb water and nutrients, starving the plant and causing yellowing leaves. Overwatering also creates a breeding ground for fungi and bacteria, which can further damage the roots and worsen the problem. If the roots are unable to absorb nutrients, the plant will exhibit symptoms of deficiencies, including yellowing leaves, as the plant uses the leaves for energy and nourishment. While overwatering is the most likely culprit in this scenario, other factors like poor lighting, temperature fluctuations, or nutrient deficiencies could also contribute to the discolored leaves. Hope this helps, Happy Growing!!
