What am I doing wrong?

Hello. Here I am again asking for your advice. Why is my alocasia has yellow-brown edges? I have it near a humidifier and been watering about every 12 days #alocasia #elephantear #help #elephantplant #tropicalplants
1ft to light, indirect
11” pot with drainage
Last watered 2 days ago
Hello! This is seriously one of the most gorgeous & impressive alocasias I’ve ever seen.. I am so jealous!

My initial thought regarding the yellowing edges since it’s only getting water ever 12-days, is have you ruled out pests for sure? Spider mites loooove Alocasias and tend to camp out in the edges / ruffled areas of the leaf! There will be tiny, super fine webbing in between the ruffles..you can also check the underside of the leaf to see if there’s small black spots which also indicates pests. As well as small, dusty / whitish particles on top of the leaves.

There could also be a humidity issue. Does the plant guttate / sweat frequently?
I haven't seen any pest, I sprayed it with neem oil every now and then for prevention. I used to see the little drops on the edges but it's been a while since I have seen them. I do have it near a humidifier that is on every other day
@sproutherbology can you post a pic of the soil and tag me? And do you have a moisture meter that measures pH?
@TheOddAsity this is the soil I used and I do not have a PH meter
