Anthurium pedatoradiatum help
Hi! This is Edward Scissorhands. He sits pretty close to 2 Barrina grow lights. He started out a bit smaller and grew up towards them. This started a week or 2 ago right after he flowered. I dont think any other changes other than his flowering and continuing to grow upwards. Ive had him for a while and never had issues. I was thinking it grow light burn versus something fungal since all my plants regularly get systemic granules as well as captain dead bug.
Thanks in advance

2ft to light, indirect

5β pot with drainage

Last watered 1 year ago

Hi @idkstephs , Anthurium cannot be under bright grow lights. They need ultra dim lighting to preserve their foliage and avoid burning off the moisture it stores. It may be time to trim this leaf off since itβs only utilizing its nutrients in vain. I keep all of mine in medium indirect light just around the corner from bright indirect light. It prevents crisping. Make sure you amp up humidity to help it build up the moisture lost in the remaining foliage. Good luck. πΏ
@AnthuriumQueen I would love some advice on better placement and care for my anthuriums. I have a 2 warocs, a forgetti, vetichii, regale, the pedatoradiatum, and a lux. I currently have all of them on my grow shelves. I have a humidifier next to them and they are adapted to that ambient humidity. I don't necessarily want to put them in a cabinet. Super chonky mix with perlite, orchid bark, charcoal, leca, pumice, coco husk, and earthworm castings. My 2 warocs and my regale I have in sphagnum still. The warocs did not like the switch from sphagnum to my chonky mix so I moved them back and they seem happier. The regale is new so i havent tried to transition her yet. I have a few huge northeast windows in the same room but thought they would appreciate the grow lights more. I'd love to send you a picture of my set up and take any advice. I know you are super amazing at caring for your anthuriums.
@idkstephs you can send it to Analisse@hotmail.com. Iβll take a look later today.
@AnthuriumQueen Awesome thanks so much. I sent an email
@idkstephs I just replied. Itβs a long email that covers a lot of things. Let me know if you have other questions or need anything else. Iβll answer.
