Tips on how not to kill my Venus fly trap ?
So yes, I bought a Venus fly trap from the store. I have already changed it to carnivorous plant soil mix. I have watered it with only drinking water now. Is there anything else that I should do to keep it alive? #VenusFlyTrap #help

@FabRubbercup @AshleyLeah Not sure how good your drinking water is but the water has to be completely mineral free so alot of people use distilled water or rain water. They also need really strong light i use a sani grow light on mine with 1000 lumen. Other than that you have done correct. Also don't feed it much like once a month or less I use small wax worms from petsmart or just let it catch bugs by itself. Some people use something called maxsea you would need to look up how to feed with that as I have never tried it. These are my traps, and my other terrarium mostly Sundew varieties. I keep them either in terrariums or medium to large cookie jars for humidity.
@AshleyLeah haha at least we in the boat together
@SilkyRoses thank you so much ๐
@FabRubbercup Np there are some other things that I do, as you can see in my traps jar I have surrounded them with sphagnum moss keeps moisture in and helps with humidity to. For me traps have been a trial and error and alot of mixed research. But all i have mentioned is what's worked for me. Hopefully this helps you keep your little one going.
Mine came from a coworker that wanted me to try and save him so the first pic is when she gave it to me. I gave him fresh rain water it was raining that day! Lol
And then next pic is what he looks like, he is still at work and it was cloudy...
I see it as he has a better chance at surviving then an ice cube in hell
