Help!

#EasterCactus #SucculentSquad #SucculentLove #Succulents #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #help #helpneeded #TheThread #GregGang #Greggers My moms Easter cactus was not doing so good so I decided to take her in. She’s a lot better but needs MUCH MORE. I don’t know what to do. I don’t fertilize, have not repotted it in a while, water it whenever Greg says, and it’s right on my windowsill.
6” pot without drainage
Last watered 6 days ago
What is going on with those bottom pieces? Is it rot?
When you touch her (squeeze). Is she hard or does she feel flimsy or mushy? If shes flimsy or mushy… she needs more water.. succulent’s wont feel soft/squishy when fully watered. I had one that looked like this and then i literally submerged her (all the dirt) underwater in a pot and had her there for like 30 minutes and then i took her out from being submerged and put her in a bowl with some water and let her sit in the water overnight (she has holes in bottom so can water her that way)…. She now looks like the last photo… i havent watered her in weeks… i will sit her in water when she starts to get flimsy. Not sure if that was correct way to do it haha but worked for me.
@LucidAgapanthus I have NO CLUE!
@M6Med22 Thank you! I think this will help A LOT!!
@Hex_ADHD I’ll try that! What type of casting would you recommend? Also love the username!
@EcoPlantLover mine is a christmas or thanksgiving cactus but i feel like its the same concept.
@EcoPlantLover it looks either super dehydrated as it is a tropical cactus, or is rotted from the bottom segments and can’t properly draw water up to the top segments resulting in defeciency.
@Hex_ADHD Good to know!! I’ll try it out!
