Olive tree shedding like crazy!
I’ve had this olive tree for about three weeks and she looks great and is showing new growth at the end of all of her branches. However she sheds like crazy. I was just wondering if this is normal. The leaves that want to fall off are the ones closest to the trunk. She is about 1 foot from the window and gets indirect light for almost the entire day with direct sunlight for 3 to 4 hours. I water her like Greg tells me to. The photo with the leaves is total shed, not like over the last 3 days or something. Thanks!
@Gordo @sarahsalith @KikiGoldblatt are you able to help out here?
With almost any plant, while its acclimating, it is bound to drop some leaves. Olive trees needs LOTS of sun. usually, you can find olive trees outside. If you were able to give it prime sunny real estate inside or some patio space, might thrive there.

They can't dry out too much and they cannot sit in wet soil for long. On your plant card, it says the pot has no drainage so be careful about the soil staying too wet.

Thanks, @Shaubplantshack (:
@sarahsalith thank YOU Sarah.
@Shaubplantshack thanks for including me. I agree with @sarahsalith
@Gordo thank you! ☺️
@Shaubplantshack no problem. All the best
“The most common problem of olive trees dropping leaves is related to watering when the roots of the olive tree are too soaked or too dry. Another reason is seasonality changes where is normal for an olive tree to shed some leaves especially prior to the winter slowdown.”
