Your plant information says that the pot has no drainage. That would be the problem. It should be a pot with drainage holes and a unglazed clay or terracotta pot would be better than plastic, as they would allow the roots to breathe as well as provide better drainage to avoid root rot. Use a well draining soil with pearlight to help keep the soil from retaining water.
@Scafe21 I agree with Deb, drainage is key. It just makes it so hard to know when to water or how much to water when there is no drainage. In regards to the app and watering reminders usually the app is more prone to reminding you too frequently rather than not enough. So it is important to check the soil before watering and if the soil is still moist, click snooze in the app. Don’t water your plant just because the app has reminded you, because conditions in your house may change, depending on the temperature outside, how much sun you’re getting that week, or whether the heat or air-conditioning has kicked on in your home could change the temperature in the humidity from day to day. I would trim off the brown dry up leaves and check the soil now to see how wet it is if it is damp, you may need to repot immediately to get things to dry out when you report you can dispose of much of the wet soil and repot and fresh dryer soil into a pot with drainage holes.
