I just got her. But her leaves have brown spotting.
This isnt her name yet. Just a place holder. Alocasia Variegata. Rn, all my alocasias are outsife on a covered porch with no direct sunlight (all are thriving for the most part). This one has some brown spotting on her older leaf. I thought overwatered, but I always wait till the top 1/2 of the soil is dry. My good friend gave her to me anf I dont want to lose her. Help me give her her best life please!!

@Tikiboo Is the picture in the plant card the brown spot you’re referring to? Alocasias are super succeptable to fungal issues on their leaves if water gets on the leaf. Is there a chance that water was dripped on it and left (I have done this before!) and the white variegated is susceptible to burning, so no direct sun either. And is the substrate loose and airy and well draining?
