Living Stones - Lithops

Question

Has anyone here grown living Stones from seed? I have some seeds I ordered online... But really want to make sure I am germinating and sowing them correctly.
Can anyone walk me through it please?#lithops

Yea some one here told me to boil water and trow it on the soil cap it and leave it overnight to sterilize and avoid problems I too use som fungicide but they are growing

@dreamlettuce thanks for tagging me, but I haven’t been brave enough to grow them from seed yet!  I did read they need a humidity dome and to be kept moist for a long time in the begging of their lives, and they can’t be treated like adult Lithops until they’re a year old.  That’s the extent of my knowledge.  Lol

I prefer the method cactus quest uses.  Should be about the same for lithops as it is for growing cacti from seed.  They need moisture and humidity as seedlings and then once big enough then they need the soil to stay dry and no humidity.  Takes a long time but it’s worth it

@Iramcacti yeah sterilizing the soil is wise.  Helps prevent issues later. Fungicide is also wise to use and even hydrogen peroxide

@Sirliquorice yea I’ve tri cactus quest method and I still got little bit of fungus coming out of dirt so I rather use fungicide

@ExactDaffodila I've been researching the seed germination process and recently ordered some seeds (waiting for them to come in the mail). I'm nervous about fungus. I've read so many different things about using/not using fungicide. It sounds like some of it stunts or kills the seeds. The couple types it seems might be ok I haven't been able to find... so idk 😬 I'm going to check out the links @SirLiquorice and @sarahsalith posted.
