@Plantparent68 Hi Joe! Ad long as the roots are 2” long I’ve never had any problems, except with a weeping willow tree. I’ve tried several times to go from water to pot to earth with a willow but I didn’t time it right to be able to plant it in the earth soon enough. I’m not very sure they like living in pots, at least I’ve never been able to help one thrive in a pot before. Hopefully someone who knows more than I will see this post and help more than me. 2-3” is the going root length to be able to pot a plant . I wish you the very best of luck and if yours make it, please come back and tell me how you did it! PLEASE! Look up what kind of soil a willow will grow best in and follow it to a T before you do anything else! Sending you all my green thumb energy!🪴
