@ZanyBarbaryfig you can always check the soil with you finger or a water meter before watering and if it’s dry then water. Usually approx 2” on top is dry before watering.
Welcome to Greg, August! You could very well be watering daily if it’s outside. That plant does like a lot of water in its natural habitat. But inside isn’t its natural habitat.

The thing about Greg is it learns as you use it. All the fuchsias in they system are analyzed and you are set up with a number that the app comes up with: 8. If you add all the fuchsias together and take the average that people are watering them in Greg, it’s about every 8 days.

BUT that might not be what’s best for your plant so you have the option to β€œwater” or β€œsnooze”. When your plant’s is soil is dry at the top, water your plant and hit β€œwater”. Do it as often as you need to.

If the app tells you to water your plant and it does not need to be watered, hit β€œsnooze” instead. Hitting snooze will trigger the app to remind you to water your plant in three days.

To tailor the notifications to the way you care for your plant, you’ll need to make sure that the plant card information is filled out completely and accurately. You’ll also need to snooze and water correctly for the first three weeks or so. That way that app learns the best times to notify you to water.

Consider the water notifications reminders to check your plant. They are not commands to water. (: You are ultimately in charge of your plant and its care, Greg is just here to make it easier.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I love this app- it has really helped me keep up with my plants.
