Whats up with my plant?

#Dracaena i replanted my plant because it out grew its pot but now the leaves are turning brown. I think the yellow leaves came from being to close to direct light. I water once a week on Friday. Help please??
3ft to light, direct
14” pot with drainage
Last watered 1 month ago
Dracaena, from my experience, do not like being watered very often especially in the winter time. Your plant’s yellowing leaves and brown tips are very likely a result of overwatering, since it does not use up as much water when it is not in its peak growing season. To remedy this, try cutting back on how much water he gets, maybe once every two weeks at most. And if you want to you can prune back some of the dead bits of the leaves since they won’t turn green again.
Do you water him with tap water? I have found that tap water is a common cause of yellowing leaves as well, since they do not like the chemicals in it. If you do, you could try using filtered or bottled water as an alternative.
Hope this helps :)
I definitely agree with @cereal I have a Dracaena Golden Heart, I see on your plant card, it saids direct light, they definitely do not like direct light, indirect light is suitable for them .
Thanks let me try that for two weeks. When I cut back the dead leaft should I go all the way to the stem or just the brown areas?
@AbundantRye0 Probably just the brown stuff since there’s still a good amount of green on most of them, and the plant will still be able to use the green to photosynthesize :)
Thanks Lyn :) let me give that a shot
