Small pineapple plant grown outdoors all summer was defoliated completely and gnawed upon by a squirrel. The plant was uprooted but the roots otherwise seem alright. Is there any hope of this plant regrowing leaves from this stump?
Richmond Hill, Ontario
I want to say no because I think the new growth comes from the middle of the leaves. But I’m interested to know! If no one has an answer it could be a neat science experiment! I’m sorry that happened though, darn squirrels!!
I'm sorry- I'm leaving toward no like
BUT you can always try!
I'm just afraid that the plant will go into shock and die or rot. ):
