#ParlourPalm

Soooo we found the culprit to the slow demise of a lot of leaves on our parlour palm. It’s white little mites. I don’t know the proper name. But as I was cutting out the ones that needed to be shed, I saw the little critters in the soil 😭πŸ˜₯. I took pics of the ones I had to snip in the trash and then what’s left of the palm. HOW DO I GET RID OF THE CRITTERS IN THE soil??

@ShiraHeals Well, what's left looks a lot happier in the new home with all the bad stuff trimmed out. Using insecticidal soap once every 7 days for 3 weeks and then once a month thereafter might help. Read the directions on the spray because I'm not sure of that timing.

There are a lot of products on the market, so do a little research first. You will probably want one that you can use as a soil drench in order to kill any larvae or mitey babies. Don't over water / make sure your soul is draining appropriately, as remaining too wet for too long is a contributing factor in making the plant susceptible to pests. We ALL deal with them; if you have plants, you have pests. It's a fact. You'll get it back to health. πŸ˜‰
