I will soon be putting this plant in the sunroom which gets sun from the west afternoon sun. How close should I put it to a window?

I would put it in a couple of feet away from the window; just out of direct sun. I have my plume asparagus in a west facing window that angles slightly north. HOWEVER- my windows are nasty. (It's a laundry room- no one sees it but me. One day I'll clean the windows.) With all that combined, it's hanging in the window.

Light. The asparagus fern thrives in dappled shade, although it can be acclimated to more light. Keep it out of direct, bright sunlight, which can scorch the foliage.
@PreciseCorkelm I agree with @sarahsalith a couple feet away should be good.
