@PluckyGinger2 Hello basil has become a fast growing indoor plant lately and I wish they would let people know it doesn’t last . It’s normally an outdoor herb and seasonal so the soil it’s in is fine . Its longevity is three to four months depending on your pruning the tops before it flowers. I use it in cooking and fresh on pita’s or pizza. It looks great so just enjoy till it blooms or prune the tops to keep it intact for a bit longer . If you let it flower it’s just like mint when it goes to seed. You can also keep the flowers to dry and use the seeds next year. Good luck
