@ExultantBaybean Hi Joelle, ☺️ Can you take a current picture so I can see what they look like? I'm not able to tell from the Plant info picture you have up now. Just add it to the comments. Thanks πŸ‘
@princesspitstop oups i thought i had added them ajaga can u tell im new here πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ˜…
@ExultantBaybean lol it's ok 😊 is it on the leaves too or just in the soil?
@ExultantBaybean Honestly it does not look familiar to me. If it's just in the soil and not on the leaves as well I would recommend a soil refresher. If you're going to put it back in the same pot clean the pot really well dispose of the soil that's in there and repot your ZZ in some new succulent soil. Just in case it's some kind of fungus you don't want to put new soil in it and it get contaminated again defeating the purpose.
@princesspitstop just soil
@ExultantBaybean Then yes. It's not on the leaves so that's a good thing. I'd definitely change the soil out just to be on the safe side. Let me tag @DreamMachine and see if she's recognizes it. Just to get a second opinion. πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘
@ExultantBaybean @princesspitstop Thanks for the tag πŸ₯° You’ve got FUNGUS! No pests or eggs luckily, though it can appear like it. It is most likely the little yellow houseplant mushroom fungus, or perhaps a slime mold fungus. Neither are harmful to your plants, and nothing you did caused it to happen. It just means the spores were in the soil, it is quite common.

However, they are toxic to humans and pets so make sure no animals or little humans get it in their mouths, nor any little yellow mushrooms that may fruit. (The yellow houseplant mushroom starts off by looking like a little yellow… male anatomy part πŸ˜‚) Fungus likes damp soil to grow, so if it’s not harmful to the plant you can let it dry out almost all the way in between waterings to discourage fungal growth. Or you can repot if it really bothers you like Heidi @princesspitstop said. 🫢🏼
@ExultantBaybean @princesspitstop I forgot to mention that they can also indicate that youve got really nutrient-rich, healthy soil πŸ‘πŸΌ And if you want to look it up, it is most likely the Leucocoprinus birnbaumii fungus.
@DreamMachine great information! Thank you! 😊
