Why is my plant turning brown and dying?
3ft to light, indirect
20β pot with drainage
Last watered 3 months ago
Your plant could be turning brown and dying for a variety of reasons, including:
Age - as your plant grows on, the older stems will turn brown and the leaves will fall off. This is perfectly normal!
Overwatering - if your plant is being overwatered, the leaves will turn yellow and mushy until eventually falling off. If this is the case, repot the plant into fresh soil and remove any rotten roots.
Under watering - if your plant is being under watered, the leaves will go limp or become crispy and eventually fall off. If this is the case, slowly start watering more and more to reduce shock and keep consistent watering.
Root bound - sometimes, a plants roots can reach the end of the pot and will start looping around. This can stress out the plant and cause foliage to turn brown and die. If so, simply repot it into a larger pot
Some other issues include fungus, lack of light, lack of nutrients, etc. I hope your plant gets better!
