helloo my bonsai has been loosing a lot of leaves recently n i thought it was normal until i noticed this yellow thing in the soil? im not too sure what it is but i think its mold, ive been watering it n making sure it gets sunlight but that didnt seem to work
does anyone know how i can save my plant :(?

@HeadWhitegenepì Ayah I would guess and say you have a root problem and need to remove it from the pot and check it out. If so, it will smell and roots be mushy. Clean off and spray with peroxide. Let air out a bit and repot in required soil. Maybe different pot as well. Keep us posted on progress for more help if needed. Oh also put hashtags #GregGang #Bonsai #PlantsMakePeopleHappy
Im thinking this is an overwatering issue. Bonsais normally lose their leaves during seasonal changes, however, that mold/residue is worrisome. Typically, it’s a sign that she’s dying. However, definitely check the roots system, and I would honestly give her a bit more light as she seems to not be soaking up all the water you’re giving her.
