So tell me a few things first: 1.- how long have you had it, and did you repot it immediately or did it ship bare root? What did you pot it in? So what kind of medium did you use? 2.- how much light is it getting daily, is it indirect light? 3- how much and how often are you watering? When you water do you just pour water onto the plant or around the plant? 4- Is it in a room with constant air circulation or is it in a room that doesn’t have a fan or anything in it?
Hi @VigorousCosmo! Sorry to hear your False Aralia dropped its leavesβ€”that’s always tough, especially when you’re doing your best. These plants can be sensitive to environmental changes, and leaf drop may be a stress response. It could be related to recent light, temperature, or watering shifts.
Since it's in a pot without drainage, you might want to check that the roots aren’t staying too wet or too dry. A pot with drainage can help keep things balanced long term. Tagging @CostaFarmsTeam for additional insights
We're sorry to hear you're having trouble with your plant! After closely examining your photo, it looks like the nursery pot is still wrapped in a layer of plastic, which may be causing the issue. If that's the case, the plastic wrap is likely preventing water from properly reaching the soil and draining away, which can negatively affect the plant's health. To help your plant thrive, we recommend removing the plastic wrap entirely. Then, when it's time to water, take the nursery pot out of the decorative pot first. Since the nursery pot has drainage holes, this will allow any excess water to flow out freely and help prevent overwatering or root rot πŸ’›
