Why is my plant dying?

I’ve had this plant for several months now. I have it in a room that gets medium amounts of light and it is not in direct sunlight. I have pebbles under the pot to help with humidity. What else can I do to try and save it? I really appreciate the help.
6ft to light, indirect
6” pot with drainage
Last watered 1 month ago
Yellow leaves commonly tell me its either a watering or lighting issue. I know with ferns they like a moist environment (not soggy). Overwatering is pretty common. Id use a hygrometer and measure the moisture in the pot before i water. Otherwise, I'd water when the top part of the soil is dry to the touch. As you want to avoid soggy soil, make sure your substrate has good drainage. They need about 6 or 7 hours of bright indirect light. It may be too far from a light source. Your profile says 9.6m from a window which i think is like 31ft. I would think it definitely needs to be closer. Hope this helps!
@jkdykes thank you so much!!
Oh, and remove the pot cover when you water. After watering, put it back when no water is dripping out of the grow pot.
@BoldFuscia82 Great tips by above poster is. The only thing I would suggest is to fertilize it regularly in growing season .
