Hi Dave & Patti, the first thing to consider is the watering as this is the most common issue. It is best to try to isolate what the likely cause is.
I’ve added some things to check and also some guides and a video which I think will help answer your question. All the best πŸ˜€πŸ‘

Fiddle leaf fig leaves can turn brown and fall off for a number of reasons, including:
Watering: Both underwatering and overwatering can cause problems for fiddle leaf figs. Underwatered leaves will turn brown and crispy, and the plant may look wilted. Overwatering can lead to root rot, a fungal infection that causes leaves to turn brown and fall off.

Pests: Spider mites and mealy bugs can damage leaves by sucking nutrients from them. Signs of infestation include small webs, tiny bugs, sticky residue, or small holes in the leaves.

Temperature: Extreme temperatures can cause leaves to curl and turn brown.

Humidity: Low humidity can cause leaves to curl.

Nutrients: A lack of phosphorus can cause brown spots around the edges of leaves. The plant may also appear yellow overall.

Shock: When a fiddle leaf fig is moved from a greenhouse to a drier, colder location, it may temporarily go into shock and drop leaves.

To help your fiddle leaf fig thrive, you can try these tips:
Water regularly and deeply, making sure to saturate the soil and drain excess water

Use a liquid plant food that balances nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium

Repot the plant in new soil if the roots are brown and mushy

Check for signs of pests, such as webs, bugs, sticky residue, or holes in the leaves

Thank you so much...the only change is the outside temp so being by that door may be too cold or drafty..I will start my process of elimination..thank you for your time.
@Seymour thanks for the tips. My fiddle leaf fig has small webs on its leaves. I think I have a spider mites or mealy bugs. What’s the treatment for that?
@Selvadestef Most likely spider mites
