Bunny-Eared Cacti Leaking Sap ??

heyy , guys ! my bunny eared cactus seems to be leaking sap (or something ???) in two spots. i zoomed in as much as i could. also it looks somewhat floppy ?? idk if it’s just because of the weight from the growth or what. maybe it’s just me but check the last two pics for reference. please let me know what you guys think !!!!
8” pot with drainage
Last watered 8 months ago
also , this plant is normally outside but due to the cold weather it is inside with grow lights on 6 hours off 6 hours. i was gonna do 12 hours on and 12 hours off but i wasn’t sure if that would be too much light i didn’t wanna burn them. it’s on the second brightest setting. please let me know what you guys think !!
If it's also soft then you water too often. You need to cut down on watering immediately. (But more often than once every 5 months {from your Oasis})
It needs 12 h on and 12 h off, on the highest setting.
My cacti are under 2 high setting lamps simultaneously.
@SvelteKingfern okay awesome that’s what i thought but i was just scared of burning them bc i burnt an aloe one time and it died and that really messed me up πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
@SvelteKingfern awesome ! that makes me feel much better. no it isn’t squishy i checked it’s pretty firm like it normally has been. the tops are kinda floppy if i move the pot around but they aren’t squishy.
@SvelteKingfern do you know what could be causing the sap ? i watered it two days ago for the first time in about two months and gave it very very little water
All right. Then your Bunny Ears definitely needs more light. Do you have the full spectrum light? Your bunny needs a very strong light: high PPFD setting, 500 to 700 PPFD .
@SvelteKingfern yes it is full spectrum. it has shades of red blue and white (i believe it’s white) so i hope that’s good. i read somewhere that cacti need those three shades of light but idk ?? i’ll definitely turn the light setting up some more thank you !!
Ok, but check in the instruction if it mentions that the lamp is high PPFD, if no mention then it probably is not. Your Bunny Ears likes to be in the strongest light possible.
With the proper light your cactus will recover and will stop leaking sap. But you must act quickly.
@SvelteKingfern thank you. i just turned the settings up. sorry one last question β€” should i keep all three colors on (the red white and blue) or should i just use the white ? which would be considered full spectrum ? thx again !
If your light looks like this, it is a very weak light. For other plants it's ok, but not for Bunny Ears or other cacti.
@SvelteKingfern it’s much brighter than that. i just dont know if i should use all three shades. this is a link to the grow light i bought https://www.amazon.com/ZXMEAN-Spectrum-Starting-10-Level-Dimmable/dp/B0BZ3X52MB
This is your light. It's strength is 30W. Your cactus needs 250W strength. No matter whether you turn on 1 light, or 3 lights, it's not enough, it's 1/8 of the required strength. I hope this solves your problem.
@SvelteKingfern thank you so much !!
You're welcome πŸ€—πŸ’šπŸŒ΅πŸͺ΄
