How do I know its time to repot my plant
I have an aloe plant and I dont know what size of pot it needs or when I would need to replant it

Succulents like to be snug in their pot, but I would guess yours is ready for an upgrade. You only want to go about an inch bigger/side so 2 total, slightly larger won't hurt but makes it easier to overwater by accident. Almost everyone (myself included) will recommend a terracotta pot for succulents because they absorb any extra water after the roots have had their fill.
