Why is Sherlock still so leggy?
So my #ArrowheadPlant is really leggy. Stems are really long. New growth looks healthy, variegation is gorgeous. And itβs by a cluster of grow lights! I feel so confused as it looks like lack of light buuuut that canβt be right. Any ideas how to make this guy bushier without chopping him up? π±βοΈβ€οΈ

I have literally no clue... often elongated stems are a sign of not enough light, but clearly that's not the case. Though I may not know how to fix it, it may be beneficial to add some sticks to prop up some of the longer stems as it puts a great strain on the plant trying to hold up such large leaves on such a long stem. Best of luck. I know sometimes it can just be the genetics of that plant, were the stems always unusually long?
@SesameSeeds777 nope! I got it as a little tiny one and so this is how it looks in adolescence. So weird right?!
@SoundlyLoquat well hey, if itβs happening to you then maybe it is! I had no idea as I havenβt seen anyone else post theirs. Thank you!
@NeedMoreCoffee thanks! How do you chop yours? Like down at the base of a leaf?
@RealSimpleMama I found this on Greg App a lot good information on pruning. Leggy Growth-
A case of the "legginess" can leave your plant looking more like a scarecrow than lush foliage. Prune back to a node on a healthy stem to encourage bushier growth. Remember, strategic snips can transform a spindly Arrowhead into a full-bodied beauty. https://greg.app/how-to-prune-arrowhead-plant/#:~:text=For%20a%20bushier%20look%2C%20pinch,Edward%20Scissorhands%20meets%20bonsai%20master.
