I can't really tell anything from the picture. If you can take another picture in regular light that'd be helpful. Also, how often did you water?

It doesn't look dead, but one thing aloe needs is full sunlight and well-draining soil

My aloe despite being next to bright light during the summer still needed a grow light. Now she's thriving in the heat and brightness. When I water her it's just a tiny bit and she's good with that.
