Herb help

My cilantro is on its last leg. At first she was doing well. She's been repotted, fertilized and rotated into the sun. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I know if you cut more than 3/4ths off at once you put the plant in shock and sometimes they die. I read that you should only cut 1/3rd at a time. Herbs are like shrubs, you can now cut it back and see if it will bush up and keep growing. Keep it on the drier side. Hope it keeps going! Nothing like fresh cilantro! 🀞🏼πŸͺ΄πŸ¦‹πŸ
Could be it's out of grow season now - They are a cold weather herb.

I grew one outside in a container this year and it was thriving in winter!

It grew to about 18 inches tall and a foot wide in just two months...

But it's quite unimpressive now as summer approaches.

When the weather gets warm it can either bolt (flower) and/or wilt in hot sun.

Mine bolted last month as soon as it got about 65 during the day. I should have shaded it more, oh well. πŸ˜”

If yours didn't bolt then it might be root bound.

The root system is HUGE on most herbs and they need to be planted in a pot at least 12 inches wide and 12' deep to fully mature and thrive.

Hope that helps! πŸ’š

I know I wish I had made a lot more salsa when mine was in season. πŸ˜”

The leaves are nowhere near as flavorful now that it bolted.

I plan to simply start mine sooner next year (probably October) to maximize the growth.
