Those are called aerial roots. They are not bad. They are a part of certain plants that naturally climb—those roots help them climb in nature. Those roots attached to things like nearby structures (trees, rocks, etc) for them to climb.

@HonestLime im pretty sure those are just the nodes.. you can cut of from there a propagate and it will grow more roots

@OrangeGrass is right mine that's in water has that too you can just cut them if their getting to long and they will come back over time
