Yes, echeveria need LOTS of direct light. At least 3-4 hours a day. If you have a south or west facing window, otherwise you'll need grow lights to meet their needs for light. Also make sure to only water when the soil has completely dried out. Echeveria are very prone to root rot from overwatering, even more so when they don't get enough light.
