Since there is so much yellowing at the base, it might be time to chop & prop if you want to save it. The yellow parts won’t turn green again, so unless you want to cut off the green bits to start from scratch, there isnt much of a chance to revive the entirely of the plant.

Snake plant propagation guides i used:

https://rosysoil.com/blogs/news/how-to-propagate-snake-plant

https://corisears.ca/propagate-snake-plants-in-water/

TIPS (from my experience:) take as many cuttings as you can, cut the end into a v shape (allows for maximum water to get to it,) water or soil props both work but more flimsy/thin leaves will rot in water.

I was nervous about propagating my snake plant, but it turned out to be a fun experiment and now i have 2 snake plants instead of 1 (albeit much smaller haha.) Let me know if you have any other questions if you try propagation!
Looks rotted to me. I would cut off all of the dead to see where you are at…
When my dad was alive he had them. He tried to separate them and they did not like the room. They like to be rootbound.
@cereal thank you so much, for the information and linksπŸ’œπŸ«ΆπŸ»
