3β pot with drainage
Last watered 1 month ago
Hi Maxine, welcome to Greg!
Ideally your cactus is in a porous pot with drainage since they are drought tolerant plants.
Technically it could be ok, but if you have the option to repot I'd recommend it so you're not always worried about over watering it.

drainage is mainly recommended because a plant sitting in water is more susceptible to root rot. Succulents like cacti are even more susceptible since they enjoy being dry more than being wet due to being desert plants, which is why good drainage for this plant is harped upon.
You can still keep the pot if you want because the app will inform you the calculated amount of water you can give the plant without causing root rot and since it is an indoor plant weather wonβt be a factor. Cati can also got a very long time without water so you don't have to be pressured to water it so often if you don't want to; keep in mind that it is easier to bring a succulent back from dehydration than it is from root rot
