Weird growth pattern?
This plant continues to frustrate me. It keeps killing back the mature leaves near the base and instead puts all her energy into growing these clusters of tiny leaves 😫 NE window, bright light in the morning, dry between waters. A few months ago I pinned some of the vines in the pot. Soil is chunky, maybe too much bark? Should I prune the vines back?
6” pot with drainage

not an expert by any means, i have like one pothos but maybe she’s having a nutrient defiency? i have my pothos in like 70% orchid bark and she’s doing well, i don’t think the soil is the issue.
@AggroResting I use regular potting soil, the potting soil I use help keep from overwatering and under watering, plus I add more perlite to the mix to help with irrigation. Since it’s still in its nursery pot and it seem roots are starting to grow out the bottom, I would go ahead and repot it. They are very hardy plants and if I were my plant I would repot it in a pot with drainage. I also pinned mine to make it look fuller. Just make sure when you pin it make sure a node is in the soil. I also added perlite to help with irrigation. I just mixed a handful in with it. The last pic is perlite. I wouldn’t trim it back just let it grow as it is. It’s a beautiful marble queen potho.
@KikiGoldblatt I put it in this pot a few months ago but I know what you mean :) I might swap the soil for a mix with less bark
@AggroResting that sounds like a good plan. Wishing you luck and keep me posted. πŸŒ±πŸŒ±πŸ’šπŸ’š
Make sure the top of the plant gets light too! Not a just the trailing leaves
