You live and learn! These plants are like succulents and are relatively hardy. Best thing is to let it be and hope it heals! Remember to change the water on your cuttings weekly. I found I also had faster root development in the cuttings that were in a glass jar that I then placed into a black nursery pot. This was to limit light exposure to the roots. Best of luck! 🌿🌿🌿
Your ZZ should be ok. These plants are resilient. They grow from potato-like tuber roots. As long as the roots are healthy your plant should be fine.
