I just got this plant at the beginning of April from Lowe...

8ft to light, indirect
22” pot with drainage
Last watered 6 days ago
From what I know about Alocasia, it seems they thrive in well draining, chunky soil. Self-watering pots tease us into thinking they're good for all plants, but unfortunately it looks like it's not a good match with Alocasia πŸ˜• If it were mine, I'd get it repotted into a pot with good drainage and use a very coarse mix of peat/orchid bark/perlite/coir/etc. (Remove the yellow leaf to avoid encouraging rot.) definitely let it dry out fairly well between watering, and consider a humid spot. Hope this helps!
This is a very hard plant to keep alive they need moist soil and high humidity and them self watering pots are death traps for any plant.. I got one from Lowe’s and took it back within 4 days because the leaves started to turn yellow
That is really good to know! I will get it repotted. Do I cut the yellow leaf off to remove it? I definitely won’t be getting anymore of the self watering pots lol thank you both for the help!! @DrGreen @trndylttlethngs
