No ears :(
Anyone grow corn before? I have a healthy, green, tall stalk but no ears. 😢.
We tried corn in our garden. We were told you need more than one stalk to get ears. Also that they need to be planted in very fertile soil because they are “heavy feeders” and need to be able to suck a lot of nutrients out of the soil. 😞
Yeah, I've never tried it before but I've heard that you need several stalks, so they can cross-pollinate
I have a couple stalks. I’ll try adding more fertilizer. Don’t know if it’s too late since it already has the pollen but no ears/silk to pollinate. 🤨
