Re Pot ZZ Plant

Question

Hello, i want to transfer my ZZ plant to a bigger pot . Is it safe to do it while there’s new leaves coming out or better to wait?

Also do you have any tips for a successful re potting? I haven’t done it before and I don’t want to kill my plant￼. #repot #help #ZzPlant #NewGrowth #HappyPlants

@ShielaC I would only go up an inch since they like to be snug in their pots. Just make sure the pot has drainage. Use a well draining soil and add perlite if you have it to help with irrigation. Yes it is safe to repot while you have new growth coming in. Just be careful with the roots when you repot. Get as much of the old dirt off of it when you transplant it. You can always take a hose to help remove it. If it doesn’t come out easily when your repotting try digging some of the soil out before your take it out. That might help with getting your ZZ out.

I just re-potted my ZZ, I used a mix of 2 parts miracle grow moisture control, 1 part cactus soil, and 1 part perlite. My ZZ is going crazy 🌱🌿🥰

I just repotted my ZZ with new growth coming. So far so good. I didnt know to remove all old dirt so im hoping for the best

im knew to plants and especially repotting, i got some great tropical soil from my local garden store and that’s helped me a lot!!!! it’s alresdy mixed with perlite and stuff. good luck!!!!

I’ve repotted like 3 of them, including one that I grew from a cutting I made from the baby daddy ZZ. I mix a bunch of perlite with a high quality potting soil. They’re all thriving!
