How do I remove this safely and encourage it to grow?

Hi my Regal Shield has a baby! Is this a corm or is it a leaf/something else? Last time a leaf popped up and I thought I could cut it and replant it but ended up killing it. Not sure what to do but I would love to have another plant that’s grown from mum! Xx
2ft to light, indirect
9” pot with drainage

@UrbanePygmyiris also you can’t cut a leaf and regrow it but if it is indeed a corm that is rooting you will see a leaf soon enough and I just let them hang out with mom if they are already rooting until they get bigger and then you can transplant it into it’s own pot. That is what I’m doing with my Frydek waiting until the pup gets bigger. I hope this helps
Gorgeous leaves!
@SeaingGreen aww thank you πŸ₯°
@UrbanePygmyiris They are gorgeous leaves . It certainly does look like a pup . These tags will help you to the experts on these #HappyPlants #NewGrowth #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #AlocasiaAddicts and then @PoisedAlbo She has many of these . Good luck
@ILoveMyPlants thank you 😊
@UrbanePygmyiris I can’t see really well from the picture but does it look like a little nut 🌰 with brown skin on it? She is absolutely gorgeous. This is mine with a pup I just let grow and my regal shield
@PoisedAlbo oh your plants are so beautiful and I love the butterfly clips
@PoisedAlbo thank you for the advice, yes I killed the last leaf after it sprouted πŸ˜” but thank you very much for advising it’s the info I needed! I think it is a corm as it looks like a nut. X
@ILoveMyPlants thank you for the tags! I’m new to Greg so this is great ❀️
@UrbanePygmyiris if it’s a corm you can pluck it and put in a cup with a lid in a bright sunny spot in damp moss I’m currently baking as I like to say 14 corms all from different alocasia
@PoisedAlbo I went to take a picture and it fell out πŸ˜… what should I do now πŸ˜‚
