@GiddyGingerroot for the best results and optimal anthurium growth, aim for a well-draining, airy soil mix comprised of equal parts peat moss, perlite, and orchid bark or coarse sand, potentially enriched with charcoal and coconut coir. I made my own using one part regular soil, one part perlite, one part peat moss and one part orchid bark or cococoir chips (whichever I have on hand). Both mine are doing great in that mix so far.
@Shells_Garden anyway you can post what brands you use pls? Iโ€™ve tried looking online but the reviews arenโ€™t so helpful or pleasing.
@GiddyGingerroot yes absolutely. I buy a lot of my stuff from Amazon but you can find it in any Loweโ€™s Home Depot or garden store. My base soil is always Fox Farms Ocean Forest. They donโ€™t sell the soil at Loweโ€™s so I buy it from my local True Value or from Amazon. The coco coir chips need to be rehydrated so I put them in a 5 lb tub and soak them in about a gallon of water to rehydrate.
@GiddyGingerroot here is a photo of coco coir chips rehydrated! That little block of dry chips made all this!
@Shells_Garden thank you so much for your help, does the size of the pot matter as well when it comes to an anthurium producing properly?
