Propogating my umbrella tree

#DwarfUmbrellaTree #propagationstation #growlights #planttherapy #umbrellatree
I got gifted a cutting of a beautiful 20 year old dwarf umbrella tree, these were somewhat the youngest id say, very leggy branches, and the leafs became very droopy and a bit curled. He's being propogated in water, should i change it? Its been in there for a about a week, and under the grow light for about four days today, tips? How much light would he enjoy? Do i give him light while propogating?

Hello, in my experience these guys take quite a long time to produce roots, I'm talking months and months from a 2 leaf standard propagation cutting.
The photo looks like a very large cutting, meaning it will take a lot longer to make roots, could be waiting a year or more.
You should change the water every week or so for the duration of its time in the water.
Regarding light- he needs bright indirect light whether he has roots or not yet. I tend to find my propagations do better with a few more hours of daylight (grow lights).

It's hard to tell properly from the photo but it looks like it's on the floor, where it won't be getting much light- I would stick it on a windowsill and cane it up to stop the flop!
