You need to be very careful about giving it water, especially as it is not in the best potting mix for your plant. If you can, use soil especially for cacti and succulents, add a bit of sand or perlite to it for extra drainage and water about once a month, maybe every two weeks if it’s very hot where you are. Don’t get any water on the actual plant. Bottom watering is recommended, especially if it is in a terracotta pot.
