Please help!

I just recently got this urn plant, and there are leaves dying! I have been watering it every two weeks and dumping the water. I have a grow lamp that is on for 12 hours. I'm not sure what wrong. #UrnPlant

Hello. Can you possibly share some current photos of the plant? Pictures of the whole plant as well as the area of concern so we can help a bit better!

#️⃣#️⃣ HASHTAG FYI #️⃣#️⃣

To increase the chances of someone seeing your post it’s important to add several popular hashtags.

Notice the number of members in a group. You will find the membership on the drop down that appears after you type β€œ#” If there are few or no members, the hashtag is likely inactive and it may not produce the help you need.

Creating a hashtag within your post does not necessarily help. Unless the # you post is for a group that currently exists, it won’t get your message out. For that you would need to create your own group.

Here’s how to add good hashtags.

Are you checking the soil before watering or watering on a set schedule?

Like many tropical plants, the Urn plant prefers to be growing in moist, but not soggy soil. On average, you should water this plant once every 7-10 days, but always make sure to check if the top 2cm (1 inch) of the soil is dry to the touch before you water it. When you do water it, do so very thoroughly. Overwatering doesn’t happen because of giving the plant a soak, but leaving the roots sitting in water from watering too often.

Urn plants need high humidity or the leaves will die. Do you have a humidifier you can place by your plant?
