When to snip bloom?

My mini #echeveria has been teasing out a bloom for months now and the first flower officially openned! Looks like there might be eight more on the stalk?

I think some of yall have said some succulents die after they flower. Is this one of them? Now that I've had my fun should I cut it off? Or can I let it run it's course?

So cute @DapperPineapple! No, you don't have to cut this. Echeverias are not monocarpic. There are some that are. The only one I can think of off the top of my head is some sempervivum (Hen and chicks). And the "Death Bloom" will look different. Straight out of the middle. These Hen and chicks are from my grandma's yard and the really tall one stretching from the middle is a "Death Bloom". So you're good. That baby will flower many more times. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Enjoy the cuteness.
lol pretend i didn't do the same pic twice and instead was this one
HI! This is the first time Iโ€™ve caught one of your posts! Your Echeveria flowers are so cute btw ๐Ÿ˜
Thanks, I can't get over the pastelly colors ๐Ÿ˜.
Yeaaaah I'm trying to post more often. I used to be pretty active in 2022/3 but a bunch of life got in the way. I'll try not to spam but I got a lotta plants lol
@DapperPineapple Ohhhhh! Look at your oasis ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ’š so many succulents. Does your purple shamrock go dormant? Iโ€™ve been wanting one, but I wasnโ€™t sure if it went dormant here
@FairyFly Where does your Grand mother live to grow them outdoors like that? ๐Ÿ˜ WOW
Ooop @FairyFly now I'm worried about a different one. I though this was just etiolation, but is this Hen & Chicks tryna die???
@OrangeGrass yeah I think so, but it also might be dead... They don't like moving but I moved it from my window when it got cold. Immediately dropped all leaves. It's back in the window now and I hope to see it again in Spring ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿพ.
@DapperPineapple Is there a way to not let that happen? I donโ€™t know how to deal with plant dormancy ๐Ÿ˜‚
@OrangeGrass Steady light & temp & fertilizer can sometimes help avoid dormancy for indoor plants. Some of my succulents should be dormant right now, but they're under grow light and by a heater so they're still going.
@OrangeGrass We live in PNW Washington. Hen and chicks are native to parts of Europe and Asia, so they can handle a lot of different weather. Some are more hardy than others. @DapperPineapple I'm sorry to say, that is the dreaded "Death Bloom". That sucks. ๐Ÿ˜ž I hope it made you some pups first!!
@FairyFly Rats. Whelp, always better to know. Thanks! I did get a few pups so it will live on!
Heirs and wisdom @DapperPineapple. Who could ask for more?! Lol. ๐Ÿ˜‰
@FairyFly Oh! Can I grow them outdoors here? Iโ€™m in zone 7b
So beautiful!!! Thanks for sharing!
@OrangeGrass yes they can. But I advise in ground. Potted is a little different. The roots are more vulnerable and, depending on the pot, your pots might break that cold anyway.
