Hoya Help 🥵

Yalllllllllll I’ve never been good at Hoyas! But I have a very very special Hoya (legit my only one!) who I want to thrive. Before my move, she was thriving and now I’m worried… but also are those new growth nodes? Help meeeeeee #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #PlantTherapy #BeforeAndAfter #PlantyMidwife #NashvilleGregGang #GregGang #SanAntonioGregGang #Hoya #HoyaHangout

Those sure look like growth nodes 🙌🏻. The biggest thing with Hoyas is to make sure they're in a chunky mix soil, the right size pot (they like to get a bit root bound), and you need a pot with good drainage holes. They don't like sitting in water. I either water until it runs through the bottom of the pot or I bottom water. I let mine dry almost completely before watering. So in winter it's been approximately 1x a month. I do use #happyhappyhouseplant fertilizer in the water with each watering. I also spray my leaves with Miracle Grow orchid spray 1 x a month. They love it! Hoyas are my all time favorite plants.
@FragrantChards I can't tell when looking at the first photo if the tips are browning. If so, could be a watering issue. Also, if it's cold at night where you are still, I'd move it from the window each early evening prior to temps dropping. Not sure the temps in Nashville. I have 1 of my hoya publicalix under a grow light and it's grown a ton since & has some beautiful sunstressing. So another idea for you.
Thanks, @FragrantChards ! Coming from #SanAntonioGregGang it’s taking a while for my girls to adjust. 🌱🌱🌱
@PlantyMidwife we're not too far from SA, so yes. A change for sure!
I have that same one and it’s thriving I just posted it and also propagated a leaf and it rooted in about a month just from a leaf cutting so make more babies girl and u can have more then one maybe it’s cuz it’s too close to the cold draft from the window I would trim the end about an inch where it looks dead and it will grow back
Treat them like succulents and they’ll be fine. Lots of light and less water helps with the transition to your new home.
Absolutely in love with this Hoya! Looks so unique & pretty
