#MonsteraMob #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict What do you do when aerial root get so long? I have one that is 16 inches long and almost 5 inches before it touches the floor.
Cut it or tuck it back in the pot! They love hangin out and a lot of people leave them
Wow!!! That's amazing.....just amazing!! 🀩🀩😲😲
The plant doesn’t need it, there mainly for wild plants that climb trees or need extra water from a nearby water source. I’d cut it if it’s getting too long.
Personally, I stick them in the pot so they grow into the soil. That said, if I miss one or it's too long to cutting it off, or trimming it enough that it can go back in the pot are my next choices.
@PlantMompy I have quiet a few growing into the soil. This one just got away from me before I could head it towards the soil.
I’ve seen people place a small pot w/ soil next to their monstera just for the long roots πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ
Have you tried gently cracking the outer shell of the root to get more flexibility to get it in the soil?
