Half Plant rotted
Hi guys, from May till now. Half on the plant turned brown and rotted. The soil is very dry. Only water with Greg recommendation.
Does anyone have any advise??
Greg’s recommendations typically lead to overwatering. I think the rotting might have been bc of this… Try letting it dry out completely and waiting weeks before watering and see if that helps!
Could the pot itself be retaining water for to long? It looks glazed and those usually keep my plants on the wetter side. Maybe a change to terracotta or something more porous would do some good too.
If Greg is telling you to water before the soil is totally dry make sure to use the snooze feature! Greg will then remind you to water in a few days and will slowly learn to space out waterings more.
The living half of this plant is looking great!
Hmm. Yeah definitely make sure when you do water, the plant is able to drain and isn’t sitting in that water
Your plant card indicates a pot with no drainage. This is probably part of the problem. As others have suggested, make sure the soil is dry between waterings. 🥰
