What can I do about brown spots on my plant
1ft to light, direct
7β pot without drainage
Last watered 1 year ago
Hey, @YesCowbane85! Oh, no! Im sorry about Elina here. I noticed your question, and as you can discover Im in the same situation with my own Lemon Lime Dracaena. I moved mine to the same lighting as yours a couple days ago, and I took it out of its outer decorative pot and simply sat it in its nursery pot on a plate. My decorative pot has no drainage, and I think I wasnt allowing the soil to drain. I read here on Greg that these plants love well-draining soil. Thatβs what Iβm attempting now. I hope others chime in with more aid. I wanted to let you know you arent alone in the issue and what Iβm trying atm.
@estacador @AlolanBoomer @YesCowbane85 Good Morning! π sorry to hear you all are having similar experiences with your Dracaenas! Well, all three of you are right! I have a Dracaena Golden Heart, Dracaenas do not like tap water, filtered water can also be used! They do not like direct sunlight, indirect sunlight is better. Always use a planter with drainage, because if you donβt, you will have root rot! Also if you donβt have one, getting a moisture meter is great to have. Here is my Dracaena aka βElleβ!
@YesCowbane85
I find that my π Lime does best with being bottom watered. When I started this, there were no more burnt-looking tips. He's growing so much...bushy and happy π!

@SweetAzurebluet what is the use of that stick? Your plant "Elle" looks so happy btw. Great job ππ
@HotshotMingfern Thanks much, it is to keep my Dracaena stable and not fall over. Keeps it growing a certain way. Before Gregg, I have ordered plants from Bloomscape, and most of their plants come with a plant stake.
@YesCowbane85 Youβre welcome!
