#AloeVera unsure why mold is forming on the soil. Should I repot with new soil? And how to prevent this?

Yes, @T54LPlantMom: is correct, the mold is due to an abundant watering.
Are you using clay balls in your medium? I see some brown pieces - if that is the case it can help with an abundant watering, but it is better if you adjust the watering as the current pattern can lead to damaged roots and to the mushiness in aloe' leaves (rot).

I’d try a repot with a succulent mix and not a tropical mix.
