Low light, animal friendly plants?

Hi #greggang im in need of a low light 🐈 animal friendly plant. The only places in my house that doesnt have plants are lower light areas. But I have a kitty who loves ❀️ all my plants, so it needs to be animal friendly. Any ideas? #gregplantshop #greggers #plantsmakepeoplehappy

How experienced are you?

Spiderplants are easy plants that manage under most conditions, and are pet-friendly😊

But if you are in for a little more challenge, all types of Calathea/Goeppertia/Marantaceae are pet-friendly and gorgeous plants. That can thrive with just artificial light. But they can be divas πŸ˜‰

If it is very low light conditions you can consider adding a lamp or plant-light.
African violets, I think, can? Cast iron plants, my personal favorite, cavendish bananas! Friendship plants, some calatheas. I think rabbit foot ferns, Norfolk pines, money tree, parlor palms, spider plants. I’d also recommend (I do this for my cats and my dogs here) that I grow β€œcat grass” and catnip for them, to encourage them to eat those instead of my plants. 🀣🐈 Best luck! And thank you for keeping your baby safe!
What defines 'low light' for you? Coz low light to us may mean the bottom of the mariana trench for plants
Don’t write off grow lights! I’ve gradually added them all over my apartment. Now any plant can thrive almost anywhere. Get them with a timer for extra ease.
Thanks everyone. The low light ✨️ that im talking about is indirect light from about 8 to 9 feet from a window.
Try growing catnip and/or wheatgrass for your kitty to see if that helps
